Laura Laaksonen

Laura Laaksonen has over fifteen years of experience in export promotion in cultural and creative industries as an academic researcher, as a government official, as the head of one of the largest co-production markets in the Nordics (Finnish Film Affair) and as the CEO of two large international film festivals in Finland. She has Master’s degrees in technology and screenwriting and she has studied filmmaking at USC and product development at Stanford University. Laaksonen also lived in Los Angeles for several years where she was a visiting doctoral student at USC and later freelanced for film industry organising promotional events and worked on multiple International feature films’ Oscar and Golden Globe campaigns.
