Interests:
In drama I am particularly interested in creating diversity, having a passion for the stories and voices of different minorities that often are left in the background in mainstream cinema. The central characters in my screen stories are often children, especially girls, or women in a setting that eschews heteronormativity. Regarding to genre and style I am most attracted to magical realism, the absurd and extraordinary that elevate the realistic narrative to a dreamlike, associative and intuitive level. The absurd is often linked to comedy, which is also present in most of my stories, even if the starting point might lie in tragedy, or depicting characters with an underdog
status. Although my stories often focus on anti-heroes and the injustices of life, I tend to hold on to hope, even in the dystopian settings, wishing to create a positive emotional connection with the audience.
