Josefina Rautiainen (b. 1991) is a Finnish film director and screenwriter. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Aalto University ELO film school (2020). Her latest films, as a director, include short films Satisfyer and Messages from Mom. As a screenwriter her credits include TV-series Pasila’s Poison – Santeri’s Deal.
As a filmmaker, Josefina is inspired by psychological tensions, metaphorical visual storytelling, and intimacy. Through her works, Josefina often explores the same core themes: family relationships, fear, and shame. However, the most important starting point for Josefina is sincerity.
