Interests:

Laura is drawn to the darker shades of the human experience. She is passionate about excavating the mysteries and paradoxes of sexuality, violent emotions, death and transcendence. Suspense drama, psychological thriller, (neo)-noir and body horror with a touch of supernatural are genres closest to her innate tonality.

Laura is interested in producing an emotional and visceral impact with her stories. She wants to disturb, seduce and confront the viewers – always with a deeply compassionate stance towards her protagonists. Though her subjects tend on the deep and serious, she loves imbuing her stories with some playfulness and black humor.
As a queer filmmaker with mixed-heritage background and a personal life story spanning multiple countries and identities, she gravitates towards projects that portray complex, nuanced, multicultural and contemporary characters.
