Sanni is a screenwriter and a high concept idea machine. She has a BA in Film and Television from University of the Arts London (UK) and is currently studying MA Screenwriting at Aalto University (Finland). Between her degrees, she spent four years living in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria. Her background is in sports, and she credits her stress tolerance, work ethic, and teamwork skills to the years she spent on the football pitch. She played in the U16 national team, but a spiral of injuries led her to focus on her passion – filmmaking.

Interests:
Why do we think the way we do? Is everyone capable of true evil, and if so, under what circumstances? What parts of us remain hidden until the right kind of pressure forces them out? Could the hero of one story be the villain of another? The human psyche drives my writing more than genre. For me, genre is just a way to express an idea, though I do believe each idea has a genre it’s best suited to. In my free time, I like to butcher iconic solos on the electric guitar or get frustrated on the golf course. While writing, I have a love-hate relationship with procrastination – it “allows” me to learn about obscure topics and acquire new skills such as the basics of 3D animation, knitting and crocheting, the basics of music production, and juggling – just to name a few.
