Viljami was born (1996) in Espoo, where he still lives nowadays. Besides the capital area, Lapland is also a special place for Viljami as he lived three years in Tornio when being a teenager. As a young boy, Viljami’s only goal was to become a professional footballer. However, after suffering from multiple injuries in teenage, he discovered interest towards films and TV Series. Inspired from that, Viljami has studied screenwriting in Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, where he graduated as a Bachelor of Arts in 2019. He did also exchange studies in Netherlands Saxion University of Applied Studies accomplishing a minor programme “How to create a TV format”. Viljami has a solid experience from writers’ rooms through work and studies. He has been writing TV Series such as Salatut Elämät and Rantabaari.

Interests:
As a writer, I approach a story with mainly drama, but not forgetting the comedy. I want to tell stories, where there is hope in serious subjects too. More important than genres, I care what topics you want to talk about and how. Good story is always a good story. I’m most interested in stories that situate towards the sport world or minorities. I’m equally excited to work with drama series as well as films – for example as an episode writer or developing my own concepts and scripts.
Above all, I want to be part of creating content that causes some kind of feeling. Whether that is empathy, confusion, joy, empowerment or almost anything. I believe that if you succeed to create a feeling in the audience, you tell something relevant of the world. Behind those feelings, there has always been some story, at least for me. For example, those bitter disappointments in football or the joy of finding screenwriting to my life.
